The Russ Darrow Group, a prominent automotive retailer in Wisconsin, was founded in 1965 by Russ Darrow, Jr., when he became the youngest Chrysler-Plymouth dealer in the country. The company has since expanded to multiple locations throughout Wisconsin and is now led by the next generation of the Darrow family.
Career Highlights
- 1965 - Russ Darrow, Jr. opens his first dealership in West Bend, Wisconsin
- 1967-1972 - The group expands with additional dealerships and establishes Russ Darrow Corporate and Russ Darrow Leasing in West Bend.
- 1997 - The company acquires Phil Tolkan Pontiac, starts its own finance company, Car Now Acceptance (CNAC), and opens its first Byrider sales facility
- 2001-2007 - The group experiences significant growth, acquires new corporate offices in Menomonee Falls, and opens several new dealerships
